ORC OFFSHORE CUP – 2008

Galveston Yacht Club wishes to restore offshore racing and is planning an ORC Offshore Cup race series this year.  We are in the planning stage and will select the three dates to fit into the existing racing schedule for the area.

This will be a three race series much like the LYC Bay Cup, but raced offshore and for the ORC rated boats.  The three races will be spaced out in the summer and fall to get the racers different weather conditions offshore.

The first race date we are considering is July 19^th the week before Texas Race Week out of Galveston.  This would give you an offshore race five days before the three race offshore series and have your boat in Galveston. 

The other two races will be in September and November fitting in the other race schedules. Those dates will be selected soon.

Each race will have trophies and a perpetual trophy for the series.

We will have all your needs at the Galveston Marina coordinated.
